The Proverbs 27:17 Project is dedicated to spiritual growth through Christian community. We read Christian books, listen to sermons/seminars and partake of all different mediums through which Scripture is taught and applied, which we believe and hope will help us grow in knowledge of God and also spur us on to godliness.
We read a variety of books and articles, ranging from practical Christian living to theological issues (which is practical as well). We also listen to different sermons, conferences and lectures. Every day (hopefully) the ideas and truths that we glean from our studies will be posted on the blog with the main points noted and some personal commentary.
The project is mainly aimed for the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at the George Washington University, to encourage dialogue and interaction concerning biblical truths and how we can apply them to our lives. However, those who are not part of the fellowship are more than welcome to join.
Churches that we podcast:
- Capitol Hill Baptist Church (DC)
- Christ Our Shepherd Church (DC)
- Bethlehem Baptist Church (MN)
- Mars Hill Church (WA)

What We Affirm:
We affirm the need for Christian community and accountability.
We affirm the centrality of the Gospel in Christian living and the Christian faith.
We affirm the 5 Solas of the Reformation: by Scripture alone, by faith alone, by grace alone, in Christ alone, to the glory of God alone.
